Sydney Northern Rays is a community club which was established in 2020 and a young club that is growing in the North Shore area of Sydney. Position: Experienced Coaches - all levels Remuneration: Cost reimbursement of up to $50 per hour + WPNSW non-playing coach membership fees + club uniform Primary responsibilities:
- supporting the delivery of athlete development initiatives for training and competition
- coach will be supported with a development program
- availability during week nights Monday/Tuesday/Thursday for training
- availability for games on Tuesday/Wednesday and/or Sunday
- player assessments, as well as provide positive and constructive feedback to support and improve player skills.
- communication - provide appropriate communication to the team and individual players
- tournaments - if appropriate, attend your teams tournaments
- compliance - abide by WPA/WPNSW/Club Policies
- code of conduct - must abide by the code of conduct
Experience and skills:
- must have a current Working with Childrens check ID
- previously played water polo in some capacity
- previously coached team sports and water polo
- strong organisation skills for training, games and tournaments
- strong verbal communication skills
- ideally formal training as a coach ? as a minimum ASC Community Coaching General Principles (AIS) / WPA accredited Coaching highly valued
- sports management experience
