Team Leader Aquatic Operations - Sunbury Aquatic & Leisure Centre

About the Role: Lead and manage aquatic operations to deliver safe, high-quality services for the Hume community. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, oversees lifeguard recruitment and training, and maintains facility operations to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure health and safety compliance with Royal Lifesaving Society guidelines and Safer Public Pools Code of Practice.
• Supervise lifeguard teams, including recruitment, training, and rostering.
• Oversee facility maintenance and contractor work for safety and quality.
• Manage administrative processes including rosters, timesheets, and training records.
• Assist in developing staff training plans and promoting a safety-focused culture.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in sport/recreation management or equivalent experience.
• Aquatic Technical Operator Certificate, Pool Lifeguard Award, First Aid Certificate.
• Working With Children Check and current driver’s licence.
• Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
