How you can play a part Reporting to the Head of Physical Preparation, the Dietitian is accountable for developing and implementing evidence-based nutrition strategies that optimise performance, recovery, and overall wellbeing of NRL and Academy players through - Designing and implementing evidence-based nutrition strategies

  • Conduct individual nutrition assessments and develop tailored meal and supplementation plans
  • Deliver game-day nutrition
  • Monitor hydration, electrolyte balance, and environmental factors impacting performance
  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate nutrition education sessions
  • Teach foundational principles of fuelling, hydration, and recovery
  • Oversee meal provision at club facilities, ensuring menus support performance and recovery
  • Collaborate with catering teams and chefs to design nutrient-dense, culturally inclusive menus
  • Support such as snack stations, recovery shakes, and travel meal planning
  • Ensure supplementation practices meet ASADA/WADA anti-doping standards
  • Varied responsibilities with a focus on performance nutrition support, academy & emerging player education, food service oversight, player monitoring & data management, collaboration & integration and education, research & innovation To be considered To be considered for this opportunity you will have - Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and/or Sports Dietitian (SDA) status
  • Tertiary qualifications in Dietetics or Nutrition Science
  • Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Experience in elite sport, preferably within rugby league or high-performance environments
  • Proven experience designing and delivering evidence-based nutrition programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of sports nutrition principles and performance fueling strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software - Annual performance planning with tailored support for development including on the job training, conferences, workshops, development programs, formal study & volunteering opportunities
