Join the team driving Rugby’s growth across Queensland! Queensland Rugby Union (QRU) is seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Rugby Manager to lead the development and sustainability of Rugby in regional communities. This is a dynamic role focused on increasing participation, supporting clubs and schools, and enhancing the Rugby experience for all. Key Responsibilities - Drive participation growth across clubs, schools, and community programs.
- Build strong relationships with local Rugby associations, club, schools, and community organisations.
- Provide guidance and support to club and association committees.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics including registrations, retention, and club health.
- Represent QRU at local events and competitions. You’re a motivated leader with a deep understanding of Rugby and community sport. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about making a difference at the grassroots level. Essential Criteria - Experience working with and as a volunteer in community sport.
- Proven ability to manage people, processes, and tasks.
- Strong communication skills across various formats.
- Proficiency in IT platforms including Microsoft Office, Rugby Xplorer, and social media.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and travel as required. Desirable Criteria - Level 2 Rugby Coaching accreditation or higher.
- World Rugby Educator certification.
- Experience in sports participation strategy delivery.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management or related field.
