Executive Officer

ACHPER QLD (Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation, Queensland Branch) is seeking applications for the position of Executive Officer (part-time). ACHPER QLD is a small, not for profit organisation that exists to support, educate and connect the Health and Physical Education teaching industry. This is a very hands-on role that fluctuates between strategic and operational. The Executive Officer is responsible for implementing the strategic direction set by the Board through successful leadership and management of the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

• Operational event planning and management
• Financial planning and income generation
• Stakeholder relationship management
• Human resource management (two part time staff and 1 volunteer)

The successful candidate will need to have executive level experience in the not for profit sector- preferably in the education, sport or health promotion sectors. This is a part-time position of 25 hours per week with the potential for an increase in hours subject to approval by the board and based on Organisation performance. The successful applicant will be based at the ACHPER QLD office at Sports House, Milton.
