Talented Sports Program (TSP) Casual Engagement \| Immediate Start Available Westfields Sports High School within the NSW Department of Education is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced AFL Coach. The successful applicant will work with talented student-athletes in a structured, high-performance, school-based environment and contribute to the school’s Talented Sports Program. Role Description
- Deliver planned and structured Australian Rules Football coaching sessions to TSP students.
- Implement training aligned to long-term athlete development and high-performance principles.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and coaching staff, and the school sports team.
- Support student wellbeing and uphold child protection and duty of care obligations.
- Attend competitions, meetings, and school events as required.
Required Availability
- Mondays & Thursdays - 8:00am - 10:00am - 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Availability for game days, parent–teacher evenings, and school events is desirable.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant Australian Rules Football coaching accreditation
- Current Working With Children Check / Working With Vulnerable People Check
- Demonstrated experience coaching Australian Rules Football
- Capacity to work effectively with adolescents in a school environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable Criteria
- First Aid Certificate
- Current Provide/Perform CPR accreditation
- LR or MR Driver’s Licence
- Experience within elite development pathways, academies, or representative programs
Engagement and Remuneration
- Casual engagement
- $60 - $90 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
