Friday Night League Match Officials ensure that futsal matches are conducted in a safe, fair, and enjoyable manner by applying the Laws of the Game consistently and fostering a positive sporting environment for all participants.
Match Officials are responsible for:
- Officiate games in accordance with Melbourne University Futsal Club’s Competition Rules.
- Monitor player conduct and ensure the playing environment is safe.
- Promote fair play and resolve disputes immediately
- Oversee game management, ensuring matches start and end on time, accurately times, recording scores, key details and incidents on the match record provided.
- Clearly explain decisions when appropriate
- Liaise with team captains and Competition Coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the Competition Match Day.
- Handle disagreements calmly and respectfully, escalating matters to the Competition
- Coordinator in accordance with Club Policy and Procedure. Submit match reports or disciplinary notes to organisers when necessary.
- Support with the setting up and packing up of the playing field alongside the Competition Coordinator.
Match Officials will receive stipends/honarariums for their time supporting the delivery of our competitions.
