Competition Age Coaches

Founded in 1967, Burleigh Juniors has grown into one of the most successful rugby league clubs on the Gold Coast. In the 2025 season, we are proud to have around 1,000 registered players across more than 60 teams. We are passionate about fostering talent, building community, and promoting a strong culture of respect, teamwork, and development. We are seeking dedicated Competition Age Coaches to lead our boys’ and girls’ teams in the 2026 season. Reporting to the Coaching Coordinator and Executive Committee, you will be responsible for running training sessions, developing player skills, and creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. Coaches play a vital role as role models for players, parents, and the wider community. Key Responsibilities - Lead and deliver engaging training sessions and provide game-day coaching.

• Collaborate with other coaches, team officials, and club staff.
• Attend scheduled coaching meetings throughout the season.
• Uphold the Club’s values and Coaching Code of Conduct.
• Support mentoring and development through co-coaching arrangements where applicable. What We Are Looking For - Experience in grassroots rugby league or other relevant sporting environments.
• Current coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
• Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Commitment to team development, player welfare, and a positive sporting culture. - A supportive, community-driven club environment.
